About me

I was extremely fortunate to grow up in a little Austrian village, raised by highly educated parents. They have an organic farm with forests, fields, grasslands and different animals. Growing up in this environment helped me to learn how to use my hands so that there is hardly any handicraft/ physical work I can't or could not learn quickly.
Both of my parents families had seen big setbacks and times of hard duration so that my parents were soon confronted with questions about existence and profound contemplation about life. This mindset of questioning conservative life patterns and striving for fulfillment was daily present from my early childhood on, which carried two major consequences:
  1. I myself wanted to learn as much as I could about daily things and work as well as life, people and being happy.
And with whatever I wanted to to, I was supported by my family.
  2. However, being enabled to do (almost) everything I wanted to do, oftentimes makes it hard for me to value what I've got.
Yet, overcoming the latter, I was supported by a new technique that came to be one of my most important principles of life and happiness:r<>br />Practicing gratefulness.
An old man, founder of a company in which I had worked for several months, whom I strongly admire, once valuingly said to me:
In all the years I had seen young people come and go, I haven't come across one as curious as you.
